"workcamp NE is designed to impact both the community and the students who participate - and succeeds! Every aspect of the experience is about growing in our understanding of God's love for us and the outward expression of loving others in response. Lives cannot leave a workcamp NE experience the same as they arrived!"
Dr. James Eitel, Mississauga City Baptist Church, Mississauga, Ontario
"workcamp NE has helped my youth grow in so many ways. They've developed as leaders, and grown in their compassion for people. There is absolutely nothing better than workcamp! My youth group looks forward to going every year and to seeing friends they have made and to share in the work and joy of serving Jesus through the various projects they get to do."
Jason Toller, Delta Church of Christ, Delta, Ohio
"workcamp NE has been an excellent hands-on lesson for our kids of what Jesus meant when He said whatever you've done for the least of these you've done for me. You will be hard pressed to find a better short term missions experience for your teens."
Paul Swanson, Nesconset Christian Church, Nesconset, New York

workcamp NE desires for you, the youth leaders, to relax a little and get to know your students better. We have been purposeful in creating an environment which allows you to focus on the students, grow in your relationships with them, and encourage their relationships with Christ. It's our privilege to serve you as you connect with your students. Our mission is to minister to you and then step back as you minister to your teens. We are always available to help in any way you need us to. Just ask!
After working hard all day and following worship, there is free time where everyone and anyone can join a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, play pick-up volleyball or dodgeball, play board games, read or just plain chill! Campers can take the time to write a few "care cards." These are notes which campers are encouraged to write to fellow crew members, crew leaders, youth group workers, friends (old & new!) telling them how much they are appreciated and how grateful they are to them. This is your time to spend it the way you like!

Cost
Our Sr. High tuition is $325 per camper. The Jr. High tuition is $299.
Tuition is used to purchase materials, food, tools, etc., all the essentials of camp - you only need to bring spending money. We have a snack counter that sells soda and candy, as well as a 'camp store' that sells hats, t-shirts, stickers, frisbees, etc., and you may want to stop for ice cream on the way home from your site! Tuition is higher for Sr. High because we take on more difficult jobs with more expensive materials.
Tuition is waived for the youth leader for groups over 10.
Tuition is waived for the first two individuals volunteering as night monitors.
Transportation
Groups are responsible for supplying their own transportation to and from camp. These same vehicles will be used to move crews from home base to the work sites. workcamp NE will reimburse all fuel expenses while at camp. Because crews are 5 or 6 students and 1 leader, all vehicles must be able to move a minimum of 7 passengers and a 30"x20"x20" tool bin. Those volunteering as Go-Fors and troubleshooters are encouraged to supply a pick-up truck. NO personal cars will be counted in the vehicles to be used to move campers, so please plan accordingly.
