workcampNE tries to be a bit different in the way we approach ministry. We believe God is allowing us to offer a gift...to the community, to the residents and to youth leaders. What differentiates us is that we offer camp as a "no strings attached" gift in the following ways:
- we do not charge the community to work in their backyard - we come alongside them trying to pick up where their resources are strained
- we do not ask that campers bring anything but their own safety glasses, work gloves and some paint brushes... but that's it! We not only supply all the building materials (well, actually you do through your tuition), all tools, ladders and power equipment are provided
- we work hard at keeping the costs low. While not raising the tuition in over four years, we have opted to waive the youth leaders' fee, and beginning last year there is no late registration charge- still only $275 per camper
(visiting groups are responsible for supplying their own transportation, however, all costs for food, housing, and gas once at camp are covered by the tuition)
We continue to excel at making this a very affordable and rewarding experience for students and sponsors alike. Our growing enrollment and the positive feedback we receive each year indicates that God has His hand on workcampNE and what we attempt to do.
