The main goal of workcampNE’s week long camp is to strengthen the faith of those attending through tangible efforts of hard work and service to others. The second goal is to aid individuals and families in need of home repairs at no cost to them. The third goal, and equally important as the first two, is to teach leadership development skills to teenagers and college aged students through accountability, lectures and hands-on work.

Students are encouraged to be leaders as they direct their fellow crew members, interact with their residents and learn home repair skills.workcampNE’s program allows students to grow while allowing the elderly and handicapped to remain in their homes, providing them a safer, more comfortable environment. Although faith-based, workcampNE will work on homes primarily referred to us by social service agencies with no restrictions due to faith or any other discrimination. All decisions are made on a financial/physical needs basis.
